  • LOVE THIS PLACE
    By Lisa, 07/06/09
Went 10 years ago and then again today. What a difference. This is a beautiful place to visit and see these wonderful animals up close. Feeding time was especially enjoyable. I would recommend this for anyone who loves animals!

  • Time Well Spent
    By A Yahoo Patriot, 05/27/09
Husband and I went to Eureka Springs for our 25th wedding anniversary and decided to go see the beautiful animals. I must say I was really impressed, the staff was friendly and even though the animals were not real active, they were out laying where we could see them. It was a great experience and I would love to go again. I'm glad to see there is a place for these beautiful animals to go.

  • GOING BACK AGAIN!!!!
    By Kelly R, 03/16/09
My family and I started going to the refuge about 5 or 6 years ago. we love it and have made many trips. We were the last time for the Indian Pow Wow in 2008.
It really opens your eyes to why you should not try to raise these beautiful animals as pets because it the end they are the ones that suffer.
They are wonderful with the animals. We learn ...

It is only $100.00 The people who work here have the biggest hearts..the interns are amazing and basically work for 83 cents a day! SOOOO worth the trip if you love big cats...small ...

  • Great Experience for everyone
    By Conner666, 08/20/07
This place is a must see. Your admission fees help pay for the upkeep on these beatiful animals that need and deserve our help and it takes a lot of chicken to feed a lion, tiger, bear or cougar. Many of their stories are tragic but you go away feeling that many of them are in a better place and they are being cared for by people that care. ...

  • Beautiful Animals
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/21/06
Too bad there aren't more places like this to take on the poor exotic animals that people buy because they think they are cool. These animals are very fortunate to be at Turpentine Creek for the rest of their days. It is a very clean place and the attendants really seem to care. The animals looked very healthy and were active. I will never ...

  • Were disappointed
    By Kady S, 08/29/06
I love the idea of helping these beautiful animals. Staff was very friendly.

It was a hot day, long walk in gravel and many of the cats were hiding. The ones we did see were not active.

Would advise going in cooler weather, they told us the cats were more active at feeding time.

Difficult to get good pictures through fences.
