I am a college student majoring in animal sciences, and I will consider applying here when I can. The animals have plenty of room to roam, and if you become a member, it is completely free to get in.I have been several times over the years. I do miss the ostriches, but overall it is a nice zoo.

I have a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old, this was by far the best zoo we have been to, the exhibits are well arranged, they have a great variety of animals, the kids play area could use a little work but overall great place

We went to the zoo for a class trip and LOVED IT! Althoguh it wasn't the biggest zoo I have ever been to, it had a lot to offer and the staff made it very enjoyable and educational.

From where we live, it is equal distance to Zoo Atlanta or the Montgomery Zoo. We had been to Zoo Atlanta several times before finding our about this one, but after just one visit it was our family's definite favorite. It used to be a lot nicer and cleaner, seems to be getting worse. The reptile house has mostly boring animals, except one big lizard. There are no venomous snakes, the website says they have the most dangerous in the world. Don't try to have lunch there at the cafe during the day. The wait is EXTREMELY long. I waited once for 45 minutes in line and another 30 before I got my cold hamburger.

The zoo is actually a good zoo for a city the size of Montgomery. It seems a little high priced, especially for families with small children. Maybe it is self-supporting instead of using tax payer money, but it would be better if it were considered an educational institution with government funding.
