We got there after a long drive with a large group of small children planning on a picnic as soon as we arrived. The picnic area is situated at the very back of the facility and you have to carry everything inside and then through the crowds to get there. Once at the picnic area, it's on a black paved asphalt area with no shade at all next to a ...
We went here with three kids ages 4-12. It was very interesting and fun. My youngest (a boy) loved all the military vehichles and rockets. The full Saturn rocket hanging in the building is AWESOME. Hard to believe those astronauts went to the moon in that tiny little part on the end! Also, seeing the space shuttle up close was really cool. My older girls loved the space food from the gift shop.

it was awsome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/08
my school took us sixth graders to space camp and we had an awsome time. my favorite things were the space shot, the imax movies, the food, and the g-force.
Upon arriving in Huntsville, one can easily find the Center due to the HUGE Saturn V rocket towering over 300 feet into the air. I remember seeing this rocket as it blasted the Appollo astronauts into space in the late 60's but never imagined it was that huge! Very impressive. Really makes the current space shuttle pale by comparision. I also ...

I Love Space
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/07
If you are a space enthusiast, I would recommend the USSRC. It is the largest space center on the planet. There are many different exhibits to see and learn about. There are also several rides to simulate weightlessness, G-forces, and a Mars trip. There is also and IMAX theater. It was a very fun experience for me and I highly recommend it to ...

The facility looks worn.

First, the bad news: The ticket receipt was stapled to a map of the facility, a nice touch, but it was a copy that was many generations from the original. Once we entered the museum, we encountered a uniformed ...

I'd go back anytime!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/07
I love everything about this place! The simulators, the activities, the gift shop, and even the counselors. If you sign up for one of the programs there, you can also invent your own callname. It's so much fun, and I recommend anyone that happens to be in the area to go there. Trust me, you'll love it! I just went there this past weekend ...
