  • Nice, but not for everyone.
    By Dave, 06/25/07
OK...it's a historical fort people, not the playland at McDonalds or the movie theater. Knowing that, it is an excellent site to take in for someone that is a history buff or even has a slight interest in our countries history. The fort is lacking in interpretation, but I found that the history of the fort is well explained in the brochure ...

  • The worst
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/06
this place was the worst place ever. nothing to do here whatsoever. i would have rather gone to the dentist or something like that. fort morgan was the worst. thats all i can say about it. dont waste your time, energy, and gas going to this place because you will regret it and cry everytime you think of how bored you were here.

we went there expecting a historical experience. we still don't know anything about this fort. there was no one to answer any questions. no markers explaining what things were. it looked like ancient ruins that had yet to be unearthed. somebody please put a sign up or something. side note-- whatever you do, do NOT take the ferry unless you ...

  • For my husband, not me.
    By Ally, 07/03/06
This was a self guided tour. $5.00 per adult. You just walk around and follow your guided map. My husband enjoyed this but he is a history buff. For my self and young son, we were not interested. I would say you would need an 1.5 too 2 hours here to look around. There also is a Fort Morgan museum. It was closed the day we went, Sunday.

  • Perfect!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/04
This is a great place to visit. We've been going for the past 5 years and it never gets old. The fort and the history of the place lends so much to the serene beaches and quiet solitude...The area is one of the best kept secrets of the Gulf...

I have been to Fort Morgan about a dozen times over the last 15 years. I never get tired of taking visiting family and friends. You can feel the history as you walk around inside. Make sure to read the pamphlet and walk around to explore!
