  • ANIMAL PRISON
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/21/08
I dont think the animals have enough room. The animals seem so unhappy. You would think with all the TV and awareness and all the donations that they brag they have recieved, they could aleast give the animals more room,

  • My First Zoo Ever
    By Shela B., 04/29/08
This was my first visit to any Zoo and I am so glad my husband and I decided to go. The fact that this Zoo was on Animal Planet was not my only reason for wanting to go, I'm an animal lover at heart. I was very impressed at how clean and neat the Zoo was. The animals were very well taken care of and we enjoyed ourselves very much. You could not ...

Clean and well organized. Friendly staff. There was an impressive amount of cats that seemed to enjoy their facilities. We loved Trey the monkey!

  • Sand in my shoes!!!!!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/03/07
I liked the zoo. But alot of the paths are made fromsand. There was sand all in my shoes! Yuck! The animals look depressed. They are cramed into little cages with about 3 or 4 more animals. There are not many animals. They get one species of animal and get like 20 of them!! Boring! Waste of time!!!

  • Can't WAIT to go again!!!
    By Lori Ann, 09/13/06
It was a Great time had by all!!! My grandson, 3 years old, had a wonderful time feeding the animals and so did my Father-in-law, 73 years old. He also commented that it was the cleanest and best kept zoo he had ever visited. That is an amazing statement considering the Hurricane almost wiped them out. My husband and I visited there in ...

  • EVERYTHING I HAD HOPED FOR
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/06
We had a wonderful time while visiting the zoo. It was as great as I hoped it would be. It was a down home zoo that is taken care of well. You can tell that the team has invested alot of time, heart and soul into the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast Zoo. The animals are happy and it reflects in their reactions to the visitors. I was glad we went and I can't wait to go back.
