We've been to a lot of national parks and this place, although smaller, is really trying to maintain the dignity and atmosphere of Abraham Lincoln's home.

Handicapped accessible!!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 10/26/06
I visited this site with a friend who is a quadriplegic. We planned on strolling down the street and looking at the outside of the buildings. We did not dream that they had an elevator/lift disguised as a plank walkway that provided us with wheelchair access to Lincoln's home. We were able to go all over the first floor. It was a great treat for my friend.

THE PLACE TO BE IN SPRINGFIELD
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 05/21/06
This was totally a great place to stop and see. IT was very detailed and just made you think that you were actually in a place were abe lincoln once lived. It was also errie at some times too, kinda spooky. The tour guides were very helpful in answering any questions you had about the house. It was a great experience to see.

Wonderful Lincoln site
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/03/05
Our family visited Springfield especially to see the Lincoln Home. We enjoyed it very much. If you are a Lincoln buff--don't miss it. It's best to go early in the morning. You need to get tickets, which are free, at the visitor center to tour the home. Our favorite thing was seeing Lincoln's shaving mirror.
