I had learned about the house in one of my classes, looked it up online, and just loved it. I couldn't wait to see it. Well the house is amazing, it' HUGE, and you can't believe it was built so long ago. But my tour guide was mildly distracted by two things - her shift was almost over and we had a very loud and obnoxious man with us. It's a good tour, just watch who takes you and whos with you.

The house was amazing and so well restored. The tour guide was also amazing and willing to take all the time we wanted to answer questions and talk about the details of the house. This is a must see in Springfield and well worth the "donation" amount. For those interested in architecture and Wright, it doesn't get better than this in the area.

We toured the Dana Thomas house and were quite interested. When you get there, they ask for a "donation", but you can't get in unless you give it to them!!! The tour guides really took a great deal of time with you. My kids found it to be very interesting and we just could not believe the place was so old. Our kids loved the basement gameroom. Worth the time and donation to take the tour.
