I had learned about the house in one of my classes, looked it up online, and just loved it. I couldn't wait to see it. Well the house is amazing, it' HUGE, and you can't believe it was built so long ago. But my tour guide was mildly distracted by two things - her shift was almost over and we had a very loud and obnoxious man with us. It's a good tour, just watch who takes you and whos with you.

The house was amazing and so well restored. The tour guide was also amazing and willing to take all the time we wanted to answer questions and talk about the details of the house. This is a must see in Springfield and well worth the "donation" amount. For those interested in architecture and Wright, it doesn't get better than this in the area.

We toured the Dana Thomas house and were quite interested. When you get there, they ask for a "donation", but you can't get in unless you give it to them!!! No photos are allowed to be taken inside, only outside, which is a shame because there are so many beautiful things inside that house that we would like to remember. It is a ...

The tour guides really took a great deal of time with you. My kids found it to be very interesting and we just could not believe the place was so old. Our kids loved the basement gameroom. Worth the time and donation to take the tour.

The first residential home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The tour is only $3 and highly worth it. If you like FLW architecture, you'll love this home; it’s one of the most complete and best maintained in the country. The house is kept in the same manner as in 1904, remarkable! Even the light bulbs are the same as the turn of the century.
