Anyone going to Denali should - if their time permits also see the campus museum, and do this excursion in Fairbanks. You will never forget it!

I had half a day while in Fairbanks and this tour was recommended when booking travel and hotel through the railroad. Riverboat was very nice with plenty of outside and inside viewing space.

Tour was a great sampling of all things Alaskan from bush pilots, dog sleds to native Heritage exihibits. Great way to spend half a day in Fairbanks.

First let me state, that I have been living in Alaska for 4 years and never thought there was anything like this in Alaska.

As a teacher, I like the information I can take back to my classroom. I was able to take lots of great pictures on a variety of subjects.
The pace was comfortable and relaxing. I liked that whatever I missed when sailing in one direction, could be seen on the way back. The indoor and outdoor seating helped to make everyone comfortable.
The television monitors helped everyone stay well informed.

Definitely the highlight of our trip to Fairbanks, you can see the pristine conditions that most can only dream of. Had the pleasure of Susan Butcher (Iditerod) come to the shore and show us some of her dogs. Surprised to see that they are hybreds, and not Malumutes like we expected. They were in Summer coat of course, but very lean indead. The riverboat ride is fantastic.
