If you enjoy aquariums you will like the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center. It is not as big as aquariums in other large cities but it does have a lot of interactive exhibits. Pay the extra money to see the 3D IMAX film (especially the one narrated by Johnny Depp).

This aquarium/musuem shows its age and it's not aging well. The sheer volume of kids must take it's toll, but it seems that the general state of disrepair for the aquarium was a bit extreme. Many Exhibits did not function. Although for a mid-size city the collection is good for educational and hands experience for the Kid's. Have seen many much better aquariums.

i dislike this place because it was boring and wasn't really fun. i have never been to the aqarium thing but this place could be a lot better. i mean please who wants to see a crab yea a 4 year old this place is not fun for all ages

i have no dilikes of this places i love this place as if i lived here. this place made me learn alot about marine life that is what i want to do when i am older

I love to pet the sting rays and I have always loved marine science. It is a wonderful place to go for all ages. I'm 21 and have loved to go there from when I was a little kid.

This is a great educational experience for the whole family. There are a lot of marine life on display. Most of which are live in their aquarium. There are several static displays for educational purposes. The best part of the museum is the chance to pet the stingrays.

The only drawback is the long walk. The museum requires a lot of walking so on the positive note it's good exercise but may not be great for the little ones or elderly.

I loved every minute i visit there...the place is clean and well layed out .Every isitor to VA Beach should visit this place and it wiol soon become a major part of each return trip to the beach.

My boyfriend and I are in our 20's and we went to the aquarium on a day we were both too sunburnt to be out in the sun. We had SUCH a good time! We loved the hands on activities with the sting rays and the bird exhibit they brought in. I'm very glad we went!

From the feeding of the sharks , the Imax theater , and the seals make it a fun day for the entire family .
