I really enjoyed visiting the Thoroughgood House. The grounds are very well kept, the house is in excellent condition for almost 300 years old. The furnishings are originals for the time period and very well made.

The period tour guide was very informative, knowledgable and patient. He made you "feel" the history of the home, of ...

  • It's Fine...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/05
It is one of the oldest houses from early Colonial period. It is probably built by Adam Thoroughgood's grandsons. It provides insight into the of the kind of lifestyle lived by the gentry in late 1600. it is not as cool as i thought it would.
