  • I loved it!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/08
This was my first time at a spa. The staff was very professional but friendly, attentive without being annoying. I had a facial, massage, body scrub, waxing, pedi and manicuire. It was amazing, I hadn't felt this relaxed and comfortable in a LONG time, the place is beautiful, the music and lighting were perfect. I felt like I was in a different ...

  • Great waxing experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/29/08
I just went to Sugar House for my first Brazilian Wax. I was anxious to say the least but Amy was awesome!! She made me feel so comfortable and she did an amazing job. Of course it hurt, but that is to be expected. That is the first time I've ever been to Sugar House so I can't rate any of their other services, but if you need to get waxed ...

  • NOT worth the hype or the money
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/13/08
My pedicure was great (as usual), but the staff in the front desk and hairstyling area leave a lot to be desired. Being subjected to rude and gossipy wannabes is not my idea of professionalism or a relaxing spa experience. One of the male "stylists" was downright rude when I showed up for my appointment (luckily, this was not the ...

Although my first experience at Sugar House was good I am cautious about returning. I scheduled a massage and a micro-derm abrasion w/facial on my first visit. Unfortunately I had my massage first and then became completely stressed out during the facial treatment. I wish they would have switched the two treatments so I could have relaxed prior ...

  • Disrepectful to customers
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
I have been going to Sugar House for a number of years and I'm sorry to say that it has changed for the worse. The hairstylists are skillful, but spend more time gossiping amongst themselves than being attentative to the customer. The worst part is the gossip often centers on cutting down their own customers' hair, skin and clothing ...

  • Bad Hair Coloring
    By pookie, 10/05/07
I was sorely disappointed when I paid overupwards of $300.00 to leave with grey roots. It was over pried and it took 3.5 hours due to waiting 35 to be seen and then
"corrective measures" were taken to strip old color and recolor my hair.It left it dry and months later I am still left with dry, brittle locks from the attempted ...

  • Disenchanted
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/07
When my boss said she had a gift certificate for me to Sugar House I was so excited. I had heard so much about the place.
I truly love the whole atomosphere and the color scheme, however I was completely disappointed with my massage.
This was a gift from my boss. I was embaressed to tell her the massage was horrible. It was too firm and the ...

  • Sour Taste From Sugarhouse
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/07
Sugarhouse Salon was one of the most horrific salon experiences I had in my life. Based on recommendations from co-workers I went to Sugarhouse thrilled of the thought a salon in my neighborhood. Asking for something "edgy" the interpretations was a platinum blonde highlights with bizarrely place burgundy striped ...

  • Indulge!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/15/07
If you can afford nothing else, have your hair washed at Sugarhouse Spa. You will recline in a room with a fireplace and have your head massaged by women whose fingers are soft as butter. Great hair styling and massages, too. A bit pricey, but worth it.

I recently got my eyebrows waxed at Sugar House and was so happy with the results! They look great. Everyone there was so friendly. They did their best to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. The Sugar House treatment is worth every penny!
