  • Wonderful Place
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/09
The whole cowboy theme was great. The buffalo with the baby buffalo in the field was devine. The buffalo steaks are to die for. I don't understand anybody not liking this place. I'll go back again

  • It was a cold day but we had a lot of fun
    By judy, 08/11/08
My friend and I were on the Lewis and Clark quest when my friend got sick. We stopped to get a cup of coffee at the little store on the site. The owner was there and he told us that he had an exhibit about the Lewis and Clark exploration. We decided to go out to see it. I could tell that the man had put his heart into the exhibits. We saw everything ...

  • Dump
    By Cody, 07/16/08
The owner is rude and discriminates. The food inspector needs to make an unannounced trip to this dump. The buildings are in decay and a lawsuit waiting to happen.
The experience was not fun, I would NOT recommend it to anyone and it wasn't worth my time.

  • Not worth the time or money
    By Eric, 06/29/07
The displays were creepy looking. Great place to be after sunset on Halloween. Buffalo Ridge looks just like a "Night of the Living Dead" or "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" scene. Most of the voice recordings were hard to understand. The place could be a big hit IF, they update it. Maybe restore it to it's original state. I would however pay the $5 entry fee, if it went to Buffalo Ridge demolition.

  • Straight out of a Rob Zombie movie
    By Sue, 05/30/06
Buffalo Ridge was an interesting and rather hilarious stop on our trip to Sioux Falls in May 2006. Those looking for really "cool" places might not want to stop here, but we went ahead and went through it for the comedic effect. There are life-sized mannequins and some are so dusty and old it's just funny. There were live birds ...

  • Entrance into the west.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/05
It was a very interesting place to visit. The history lesson about the area was very informative. The ghost town was animated with movable manikins, and narrative comments and stories. There is a touch of comedy within. With some great backgrounds for pictures! It touches on some of the Native American customs, and even today, some of the Native ...

  • Disappointed
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/05
The place was spooky. We were the only ones there. Very old and run down. The stairs were not safe to climb. The bathrooms were awful. Not at all what we thought and would not recommend to anyone. I do believe the owner cares about history though.

  • Save the time, Don't Stop
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/04/05
This is an old run down gas station, I'm not sure the locals even use it. Definate tourist trap, and not worth the time to drive the 1/4 mile off of the interstate.
