You should definitely try to get on the guided bus tour instead of driving your own car through. We got a lot info on the guided tour. The whole place was very cool, but even cooler then the bears was the white buffalo. I am not sure why they do not have BIG HUGE signs on the highway stating they have this. we almost cried when we saw this ...
This was one of our favorite stops on our vacation. We were there early which was right after they fed them so all the animals were out. The baby bears were great to watch and we had a really great time there. It is a little pricey but totally worth it! And we don't even have kids!!! Don't miss this.
We had decided not to go to Bear Country because we had already been to the Denver Zoo on this trip. But, when we saw the sign on the highway between Keystone and Rapid City, we decided we'd give it a try. We enjoyed seeing all of the animals, but particularly the bears. They all looked very healthy and appeared that they were very content ...

Hell Hole with behind the scenes cruelty
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/09
In June 2006 Kevin and Brendon Casey, the owners of the park were convicted of slaughtering bears for the exotic meat market and for their gall bladders. Baby bears that are a big attraction are ripped from their mothers and slaughted when they grow up. Don't support a hell hole like this.
i so muuh love the country becouse they are more advance and more inteligent am proud of you keep it up and God bless the country AMEN

not bad

It was very expensive, but it was neat seeing so many animals, especially the elk, bighorn sheep, and mountain goats, which we wanted to see in the wild, but we couldn't. The bears were adorable, ESPECIALLY the cubs in Babyland. They were swimming in their pool, and playing with each other, and climbing the trees. One of the cubs fell out of ...

Loved It
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/08
I read reviews before going to this attraction. I was a bit surprised at the cost. For a family of four it was $56.
It was a bit hot the day we went so a lot of the animals were in the shade (as they should be) so for the first few sections we did not see much.
When we got to the bear section there were so many to see it was amazing.
The baby section was very good, and we enjoyed watching the baby bears play.
We really enjoyed looking at all the animals. The cubs were our favorite, they were so cute! The bears were all over, it was a experience you can not find anywhere else! This is definatly a must see attraction!
We were there on Mothers Day and we had a great time. I think that all the animals are very well taken care of and have a wonderful place to live. I recommend anyone to see it.

Bear Country is Cool !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/07
What a great place ! Almost a tie with Mt. Rushmore in terms of our favorite place in the Rapid city area. It cost us $27 for 2 adults and 1 child. I thought that was a bit pricey for a 2 mile drive, but it was really cool. You get to see all kinds of animals up close that you wouldn't normally get to see roaming free. I would definitely go back !
