Glad we went – very impressive. The Pittock Mansion is beautifully restored and full of amazing antique furnishings, art, and architecture. Tours were available but we simply walked around. There were signs throughout that explained the history of the mansion and everything else inside and out. The view of downtown Portland and the gardens around the mansion were also stunning. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Portland.
We went on an unusually clear day in late November and encountered a little bit on Thanksgiving weekend congestion but it was still worth it. The inside of the mansion is worth the cost to tour once, but not something for children unless they are genuinely interested in history. The view from the back is stunning, showing off Mt Hood, Mt St. ...
Not much at all to dislike. The propery is gorgeous, has awesome views of the city and surrounding parks, and is a piece of history in itself. Super place to walk the dog to, as well.
