There's nothing to dislike and there's everything to like about Columbus, Ohio and the reason why. Is I got a high school classmate that lives there. Who I never met.

Lifesaver
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/07
I grew up in the Nineteen forties a block from Schiller Park. Ours was an abusive home. Schiller Park was literally a lifesaver -- a place to be human. We had sewing and craft classes in the summer, slid down the "big hill" on cardboard in the winter, visited the bear den, the little girl with the umbrella, watched the swans in the ...
Schiller Park in German Village is a great place to spend a summer/fall afternoon and take a picnic and a frisbee. Lots of people bring their dogs out here, so if you don't like dogs you've been warned. Great for jogging and stuff like that, too. Picnic tables make eating there easy, but there's also lots of trees if you'd rather ...
I have been goung to Schiller for many years with my family. The plays are always spectaular and the scenery around is great. There is a pond, old German village houses, and statues. It has given me many good memories about picnics with my family, playing on the tennis courts, and watching great plays that made me start reading alot of Shakespeare's plays. I hope it gives you many great memories also.

Nice!

This is one of the best parks I have ever been to! I would have to rate it right up there with Fairmount Park in Philly, and Central Park in NYC. All of these parks offer an oasis in the middle of dense urban areas. You can just go into Schiller Park and forget you are in the middle of a major city.
This park is beautiful and is surrounded by lovely, historic homes. It is a great place to relax or take a walk. Best of all is the Actor's Summer Theatre. Shakespeare is usually the chosen playwright and the plays are free. Bring a picnic or grab some coffee and a dessert down the street at Starbucks or Cup O' Joe and come enjoy a ...

Your dog will love it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
Perfect place to bring your dog! A small park in the middle of German Village near downtown, but plenty big enough to walk your dog. Plenty of opportunities to socialize with all breeds, big and small. I've even seen 2 potbelly pigs, so watch for them as well!

A complete mesh of cultures & people

Living 1/2-block from Schiller, it is a place that I visit multiple times daily, It is a great place of friendly people, to relax, to exercise. There are many dogs and the majority of them (and their owners) are responsible and friendly. There is always something going on! A great place to spend the day!
