My fiance and i love the Newport Aquarium. People are being too critical of the place. you can spend more than 20 dollars at a movie theater. But its not missing whales because it is an aquarium, not Sea World. The people are nice, the price is good, the food is great.

This aquarium is missing something! How about some whales and dolphins. This place does not measure up to the hype! I am guessing none on these people have ever been to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago! Go ahead and visit this place, the only good thing is the Shark Experience! It cost 20 dollars! Go waste your money and be moderately entertained!

Wonderful place friendly people. Lots of hands on exibits. Little pricey but hey where else are you gonna see sharks in the area.

It's a great aquarium, probably the best in the U.S. that's not in a seacoast city -- but it is in Newport, Kentucky, which is across the Ohio River from Cincinnati.

Location is great -- about halfway between Kings Island theme park, which is a few miles northeast of Cincinnati just off I-71, and the unique Kentucky Horse Park, which is a few miles south of Newport just off 1-75.

Visited during the discount time for children (M-Thurs. 4:30-7:30) - many things to think about, first they will NOT sell you the discount tickets untill exactly 4:30...it was 4:25 and they told the people infront of us and us to get back in line for the discount or to buy tickets then would be full price...come on 5 minutes! I love going here, but the place was packed! It was elbow to elbow people! But I guess going early on a Saturday, that's to be expected.

It was a fun stop, but not that different than any other aquarium. At 17.95 I felt it was way overpriced. Especially when the zoo was only 12.95.

we loved the aquarium,and the hotel we stayed at was beautiful,we have been back 3 times since the 1st time b/c we loved it so much.
