  • Great, but minimum stays can break the bank.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/06
Outstanding atmosphere. Vail before commercialism. No snowboarding which lends to a more mature crowd, but if you have little ones it is the best. The ski school is great, you can get a full day lesson and, best of all, the parents don't attend. It had been a long time since I could enjoy an afternoon in such a great place "child ...

  • Wonderful!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/05
Our first New Mexico vacation and we're going back! The skiing was great, levels for everyone in the family. Needs more restaurants and night life but after a day of great skiing, it was all right. Only one small C-Store with pretty bare shelves. The shopping for local art was fantastic. Great jewelry around there.

  • Ski Taos
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
By far,one of the greatest ski experiences on the face of the earth. Great people. Outstanding food in the village. It would be hard to make a bad decision staying at any of the ski valley lodges. I've been to Taos ski valley several times. No snowboarders are allowed on the mountain. As a skier, it's heaven. If you haven't been you got to go. Specially in the spring.

  • Taos with spirit!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
Taos Ski Valley has some of the best skiing in the world. The village has a special European kind of flair. It has one of the longest black trails with moguls that ingulf the best skiers. Once on the mountain - you feel the wilderness calling out it's spirit at you. Don't pass this ski resort up!

  • No Snowboards = No Fun
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
It is time for Taos to get with the program. Snowboarding attracts people of all ages. What's the problem with them???

  • No Snowboard Heaven
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
Though our trip to Taos began (on the second run) with my daughter ripping up her knee, the great spring skiing salvaged the trip. The runs are varied and challenging for all levels and the snow was great even on warmer days, though getting off the mountain can be a challenge at the end of the day, as you generally must traverse some tight ...

  • Some things don't change-this is good
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
I have been going to Taos for 32 years for winter skiing. Aside from the new construction, of which there is only a minimal amount, nothing has changed. Tha mountain has gained some new slopes during that time along with several lifts but the "feel" of the place has not changed. There are no lift lines to speak of, the St Bernard still is ...
