Very old and junky. Not sure if the rides were safe for the kids. Had to fought with them, I did feel they were safe enough, not want them to ride. Too pricey.

Sure the rides are over priced, but aren't they all like that? It's a wonderful spirited place that all the kids will enjoy as well as the adults. The food on the pier is great, something for everyone's hunger. The shops are great as well as the prices. I love to relax on the beach close to Steel Pier, it's just a wonderful atmosphere....I can't get enough time here in AC, I miss it much:(

The Steel pier is one of those places from the past that are quickly becoming few and far between. Given the very few attractions geared towards children in Atlantic City, it's a fair choice for spending some time entertaining the young. Most rides are old and on a smaller scale than what you will find in that other famous amusement park(which closes after this summer) Astroland in Coney Island.

I love merry go rounds & ferris wheels!! Nothing better than being on the water at night with all the lights. Lots of unattended young kids, but still worth a little time! C&R From Texas

The pier will sadly be going away at the end of the summer season, presumably in October, 2006. Trump is turning it into shops, condos and such. Just what Atlantic City needs more places to spend money and to keep kids out.

a good place for kids to go while parents are in the casinos tickes are pricy not many rides but still a good time other than that

It a mere shadow of itself. It should close up. It is tacky food stands, so-so kids amusement rides across from Taj Mahal. Complete with seagull dropings.
