Fun and nostalgic. The food is good and very consistent. The prices are a little high, but what isn't these days?

A nice hangout place for a sunny weekend. Excellent fries and spicy tomato soup.

IT'S ALRIGHT NOT REALLY MY TYPE OF PLACE. I USE TO WORK UPSTAIRS IN THE FERRY BUILDING. VERY POPULAR THOUGH TO SOME PEOPLE IT'S ALWAYS REALLY CROWDED. GOOD BURGERS AND STUFF LIKE THAT. TOO EXPENSIVE AND CROWDED FOR ME, NOT REALLY WORTH IT TO ME. I WAS ALWAYS NEXT DOOR AT PANCHO VILLAS THAT'S MY KINDA PLACE. CHEAP AND ALWAYS GOOD.

The prices here are very steep. The burgers are definitely fantastic, but a burger's price can only go so high before the value proposition drops off. Definitely try the sweet potato fries; they're definitely of the beaten path of regular burger/fry places. If you can wait through the ridiculous line and get a place to sit outside, the view ...
I work closeby so had to venture over. Don't go during peak meal times when lines are long and getting your food is even longer. I didn't go for the ambiance, knew the service would be slow and the prices high for what you get. I didn't like their burgers or the buns they come with, find Bistro Burgers so much more tasty. The fish ...
Go for the burgurs, stay for the wine, malts and people watching.

Great burgers

The lines can be long at times, especially during Farmer's Market weekends. One of the best burgers in town. The garlic fries are good too, although can be a bit greasy.
Good burgers, great shakes. Fun place to grab a quick meal after walking around the Farmers' Market. Great to sit outside on a nice day and extremely family friendly.

Mmmm...burgers.....

Really excellent burgers, as well as fries and onion rings. They have many non-burger offerings as well (soups, salads, pther kinds of sandwiches), which I have not tried so far as the burgers are too yummy to pass up! Some people seem to complain about the prices--yes, it's more than Mcdonalds, but you get a quality product that is very ...

The Ahi Burger rocks!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/05/06
This is a great place to get a casual lunch in San Francisco, especially if you're visiting the farmers market in the ferry building or anywhere near the Embarcadero. The mostly old-school menu focuses on burgers, but branches out into salads and other sandwiches. I *highly* recommend the ahi burger, perfectly described on the menu as ...
