This magnificant portion of cypress swamp has so much to offer anyone interested in nature. Walking the boardwalk, we had gotten only about 10 yards when we saw red-bellied woodpeckers, cardinals, gray-blue gnatcatchers,black-and-white warblers,yellow- rumped warblers and a prothonotary warbler. The environmental center is a great way to spend an afternoon. The classroom has many of Florida's native critters as well as much information about them. The boardwalk is a leisurely walk through our swamp land, mosquitos and all. At the end of the boardwalk is the great reward...gators in their natural habitat.It's a beautiful way to spend an afternoon.
