I was able to see a magnificent collection of Marc Chagall works all in one location at the MOMA in 2004; it was one of the best exhibits I've ever been to.

The SFMOMA building itself is simply amazing. Wide open spaces, but it still gives a feeling of comfort. It is right downtown in UNION SQUARE, next top all sort of really fun stuff.
I am a currator, so going to MOMA is a really incredible experience for me. They never fail to totally blow me away, from Henery Mattise to all the modern installations.

You must visit this museum. I like the exhibits, museum store and the wonderful restaurant next door. Parking is a problem so, park at the Mission ST garage a couple of blocks away. As a member, the receptions they have prior to a new exhibit can be nice.

The SF MOMA makes for a great day trip. Beautiful building with awesome architecture. Always well done exhibitions. Nice cafe with lovely atmosphere. Bring kids to the museum store. Nice selection of art books for kids as well as adults. We like it so much, that we have become members.
