We (myself, husband, two grandchildren) stayed at the Allego Playacar (12/9/09 - 12/15/09). We booked two adjoining rooms. The place was lacking in many areas (rooms smelled, little/no air conditioning, extremely small beach) but what concerned us most was the lack of security.

The rooms are small and VERY HOT. It was much cool outside than it was in our room. Don't bother upgrading, there is no such thing in this hotel-all the rooms are the same. The food was not all that great,nor were the drinks. We had a lizard in our room among other bugs and insects. We checked out the next day and the staff didn't even seem to care. This is not at all what we thought we were getting when we booked 6 nights.

My vacation at the allegro playacar was amazing. The grounds and landscaping were beautiful. The pools were clean and very relaxing. The staff that controls the pool area are more then friendly; they made my trip and are very exciting, especialy stefano. The food was good and the hotel rooms its self were alright. However i would go back in a heart beat!!!

We were there during summer of 2007, we loved it so much that were going back! We have an 19 and a 11 year old. They were so busy and occupied with events everyday that they didn't have time to be bored.

The Allegro Playacar was simply an amazing Hotel. It wasn't extremely luxurious, but it was still very excellent. The rooms are very nice and the pool area is very exciting, with the swim up bar, activities going on, and staff interacting with all the guest. The Staff was BEST!
