To get to the 7 pools you should leave for hana early otherwise you get there late and don't get to spend much time there before dark. Also remember you can't drive around the island on the road to Hana anymore because of the October 2006 earthquake. You still can get to the 7 pools because they did open a temporary bridge. When in doubt you can always call the rangers station to the national park.

I LIKE IT ALL, even the road, which is pretty harry at times, but it is part of the experience! The road to Hana is aroung 157 one lane bridges, hair-pin turns and also known as divorce highway, but if you like waterfalls, beautiful shorelines, rain forests, etc. etc. this is the trip to take, if you miss it on Maui, you've missed MAUI!
