Over the past 2 years we have tried to eat there 3 times. Their tables have always been full, which is understandable since they are a small cafe and the food is good and they live up to their name by encouraging customers to linger. We have no problem with that.

Where else on Maui can you get a meal for two with a bottle of wine for less than $40. Try the Shrimp curry, and don't forget a chocolate crepe for dessert.

The atmosphere is Paia funky, and the food is unpretentious, but everyone seems happy to be here including the employees. Sit down next to someone you don't know, watch the geckos on the wall, and share a great meal in a comfortable atmosphere.

Café des Amis is one of our favourite places on the planet! Hawaii's best-kept secret! They serve everything we like: chicken curry, fruit smoothies, chocolate crepes and it's even BYOB! It's an awesome awesome place and we definitely want to go back!!! We highly recommend it!!!
