I used to go to the market every summer as a child when we were visiting family. I was lucky enough to take my 9 year old daughter there recently. She loved it! There's so many interesting items. Anything from fresh seafood to souvenirs. There's definately something for everyone. Shopping in the area is great too. Plus, you're right next to Kings College. Cambridge is a wonderful town!!!

Fantastic shopping!

I loved shopping here, they had a lot of items from Cambridge University you could buy that were less expensive than in the stores. It was also a great atmosphere, the shop-keepers were friendly, and many were selling items they made themselves.

Great change of pace in Cambridge

This reminded me of markets frequently seen in Spain and other Meditteranean countries. Browsing in the stalls is a nice contrast to the historical sights.
A favorite restaurant near the Market is the Eagle, famed for its World War II connections.
