The Manora restaurant is a functional place: you go there, chose your food from a large selection, it gets cooked in front of you, you receive it, you pay and sit down to eat it.

It's in no way "good cuisine". So really just see it as a useful place, when you don't have so much time to eat or can't be bothered to find a restaurant further in town.

For our vacation in Switzerland we wanted to see Lausanne.From the train station we climbed a steep road to get to Manora.Ordered "Birchermuesli" and jus de fruits/cocktail for less than 20 CHF.Since it was lunchtime a lot of locals were enjoying their meal also.A friendly ,very helpful staff made our time there a great experience.Good ...

I've been to Manora 22 years ago. It was at the time a wonderful place to go. Excellent and very economical.
I will be back to Switzerland the first 2 weeks of January 2008. Is certainly going to be a pleasure to see how the good old Manora it's keeping up with time.

I've been going to Manora at Place St Francois for twenty years, often accompanied by a copy of today's The Guardian bought from the station. Manora offers good value, excellent food and a relaxing atmosphere - you can spend a hour or two over a cafe renverse without fear of being moved on, and if you know Lausanne you know you'll see ...

As an exchange student to Lausanne, going to Manora was a weekly treat. It was cheap food, but excellent quality and with a huge salad bar, soup (in winter) and lots of hot meals available, it was healthy too. The chocolate mousse is to die for. There's also a fruit juice bar where you can mix your own concoctions. (My parents loved it too!)

Get a table by the window upstairs and watch the snow fall!

Cheap and decent food quickly. They have a large choice of food raging from pizzas meats and salads to specialites such as asian food. The location, place st Francois is very good. Open 7 days a week.
