Our friends live in calahonda we visit them 3 times a year and have made many more friends.If you get the chance visit paul and gill who own Dempsys bar which is located on the dona lola.A lovely little bar and your guaranteed a warm a friendly welcome,Lovely food and a nice place to relax.All sport channels and karaoke its brilliant.

Ideal place for couples who like short walks, a quiet drink at the many bars and sample the cuisine from Italy, Mexico, Swiss, Greek, China, Thailand as well as Spain and England.

If you are willing to either do a lot of walking, hiring a taxi or renting a car then go here. I would not recommend it to young people as you would have to travel to get to decent bars etc. I did not visit the beach as I was told it smelt of sewage.

Gran Calahonda is a lovely resort and a few minutes walk away from loads of different eating places which offer good variety of prices to suit all tastes. Friendly bars and an ideal centre for touring the Costa Del Sol. About 5 minutes drive towards Marbella is Cabopino which has a beachideal for kids and a picturesque marina with really nice eating places
