This is definitely the best place in the whole of Singapore! I've lived here for 18 years and I still think the Botanic Gardens is the best. When the weather is lovely, it is just...splendid!
Oh, and you have to pay to enter the Orchid Garden located inside. In my opinion, just pay for it! Because inside...it's even more lovely! =D

it is cool and nice.the sun garden was the best.it is quite big, overall the evolution garden was pretty updated and we also get to know more about the prehistoric life.
I THINK YOU WILL ENJOY THIS... IF YOU LIKE PLANTS OF ALL KINDS THIS IS A MUST..THE PEPOLE WHO RUN AND TAKE CARE OF THIS GARDEN WAS VERRY HELPFULL ABOUT PLANTS THAT WE DO NOT HAVE ON THE EAST COAST OF THE US. THE EXPERIENCE HERE WAS GREAT..
Go in the mornings to avoid crowds. Just walk around and enjoy the flowers and the crisp morning air. If you bring bread, you can feed the fish in the ponds in the garden. Plants there is labelled with scientific and common name to cater to those who are interested in botany. Admission is free.
The Singapore Botanical Gardens is a great place to take a stroll in the mornings and evenings. It is free and stroller / handicap friendly. There is no MRT access though.
