A must for any one with even a remote understanding of a very dark time. Have been twice, well worth while hour. Neer Orchard rd, the hill with a long history and good views of modern Sinapore. Special interest I know the Family of AH Dickinson the Head of police mentioned in the BOX.

The battle box was a very interesting tour repleat with photos, recording, and preserved memorobelia. The box was sealed since 1945 and only open a year or so ago and much was left completely untouched including messages scrolled on the walls by allies and jananese soldiers upon their respective departure from and assuption of control over the ...
The hike up is well worth it given the view. As well there are a number of old buildings from the early colonial days. Once inside you will see a well restored facility that brings back the feel for the fall of Singapore through decorated rooms and animatronics.
You can combine this with a couple other activites as there is no shortage of things to do in this area.
