Horrible Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/08
I was there with my girlfriend for early dinner. The place is only 5 tables taken but the owner's wife told us to wait. While waiting for 5min, a eursian couple just walked in and sat on an empty table and was immediately served. Furthermore, we asked the lady again but was told to wait again. This takes another 5min before we were showed to our seats.

Disappointing Treatment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/29/08
I had patronise this quaint restaurant set in Little India for about 15 times.
Although it is not a place one would term classy like you would a star-studded restaurant, the location gives it a certain charm.
The food is great, and the prices fantastic. The service is ok (considering the notoriously non-delightful service level in ...

Good Across the Board
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/08
This place is a nice retreat from the "Chindian" fare offered - especially at this reasonable price. The Stall is not pretending to be haute cuisine or fussy French. It's a local, family-friendly bistro with a casual environment and decent French wine list. We like consistently good 'across the board' and will be back for more onion soups, cheese platters, duck salads, and yummy profiteroles!

Love the place. Can't find another such in Singapore. They have improved so much (especially in their wine selection - hee hee, i'm now into wine now). But seriously, it's a place to cool out - casual, informal dining at good prices.

French cuisine, local dining style

The French Stall was highly recommended by my well-travelled mates. They insisted it’s a must try!! Fully delighted with the delicious food especially the dessert tiramisu. Best in the world! Not only do we have a wonderful meal with friendly service, we get to know 2 indian nationalities who were regulars at the restaurant by sharing our ...

Sharing a table
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/07
The food is decent. They do not take reservations. Moreover, they will go a long way to optimise their seating, forcing people who do not know each other to share a table. Twenty minutes before the end of our meal, two people were added to our table. Our table seated 8 (at a squeeze) and we were four. There were at least three large empty ...

An utter waste of time and money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/19/07
This is our second visit to the French Stall and I left feeling completely disappointed and annoyed with the level of service at this place. Our soup (french onion mind you) was watery and short of salt. The chicken (pan fried) had too much salt and the drinks (orang juice) was a cordial and not fresh juice at all. Then came the clincher the ...

fish and meat are so succulent, food in general it's nice. but the ambience is a bit ambitious, i mean...the outside one should be at least open to about 50 meters for a nice outdoor seating and inside one should be able to have more fan for cooling...maybe an aircon...
