Broadies Tavern, across the street from the Friendshup Store in Bar Street, is by far the best place to eat, drink, relax, party in Tianjin. Respectable atmosphere, that somehow sets itself aside from every other place in Tianjin by having a healthy mix of foreign and Chinese customers. Need to meet someone, talk or introduce business, dance, drink eat? Broadies is the place.

If you're in Tianjin, and you want a burger or decent grill - Broadies is your best (only?) choice outside of the hotels. Great outdoor seating is a big plus during summer nights. Bottles are reasonably priced if you're planning to spend the evening there. Band is typically decent, playing some clasic rock mixed with the lastest party tunes.

Broadies, the new revamped version of Broadway Cafe on Bar Street- This place has pretty descent food and music. So do a lot of places on Bar Street and other places around the Jin, which are more affordalbe. Not a good value, but okay if you've got money to burn.

This restaurant no longer exists. The American owner has opened a place called Broadies at Bar Street (off Youyi Lu)
