Chattanooga has the appeal of being a big city with a small town heart and the Children's Creative Discovery Museum is the same! It may not be as large as many children's museums but that is what gives it the feel of something special! Teen volunteers who are knowledgeable and polite give the museum a unique flare and show southern ...

it was ok

Would I go again? No! My Grandson had an ok time. But it wasn't that much to it. He could have played in the water out by the Aquarium, and played with play dough and colors anywhere. I would not suggest you go unless maybe it's raining outside or something. It really wasn't that good

Bring money for Parking!
By Pat R, 09/10/06
My family visited the museum on 9/10/06. We had a wondeful time. It was the last day of the Temporary Exhibit on Japan, and we really wanted to see that. We weren't disappointed. There is plenty for kids of all ages to do...even a toddler playroom for the littlest members of the family! There are exhibit rooms for art, music, inventions, ...

This museum is more playground than museum. I have children that range from ages 9 through 14 and everyone of them loved this place. It's also perfectly appropriate for younger children. Of course, a museum designed for children can result in running, screaming, jumping, yelling, face painting, banging on things, etc. All in all, at firtst ...

Take Your Child Here To Learn
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 06/20/06
I take my children here regularly because there is so much to see and do and it can't all be done in 1 trip. Children are in an enviroment to learn, ask questions, have their questions answered by knowledgeable staff. One day at the museum will give you enough material to talk with your children for several days. This is a great learning experience for children of all ages.

For kids of all ages
By Peter Nero, 05/30/06
The Creative Discovery Museum was a really cool place. Tehre was all kinds of stuff in there for kids of all ages. I took an 11 year old. I just knew she was going to hate it, because it was for little kids. Man, was I wrong. She loved the place. Didn't want to leave. All of the exhibits are interactive, so that even grown ups will want to get involved (I did).
Very Cool!

Good for young kids
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/18/05
I grew up near a larger children's museum and recently took my children there, so we were a little disappointed by how small the Creative Discovery Museum was. Two of the exibits were closed for renovation while we were there and another one closed early that day. The kids enjoyed the visit, but it did not take as much time to visit as we had ...

Waterplay exhibit GREAT
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/03/04
There was so much to do we had to split up with the kids. My favorites were the Little Yellow House and the Riverplay sections. I wish we had stuff like this when WE were little.
