It is hard to imagine the amount of time required to "build" something like this. Especially when you see an attraction almost 75 years old and the formations look basically the same as they did the first time they were seen.

When I went to this cave, we were extremely displeased with our experience. I guess I've been spoiled with all the National Parks caves I visited as a child, where they keep them pristine and as natural as possible.

I'm glad I toured Ruby Falls, but it's something that I'd only do once. Interesting, but not as breathtaking as the other reviewers described. If you are a naturalist, you'll love it. If you are claustrophobic, stay away. I think some of the stories told by the tour guide are for entertainment purposes only. Don't believe everything you hear. Tour takes a while so don't go in a rush.
