That is what you are going to see when you reach the main fall, "THATS IT! I had the opportunity to talk to another tourist and both agreed it was not that wonderful amazing place. Its funny because is one of the first natural attractions where electronic music and lighting effects are used to make it seem a wonderful experience. Although it ...

Ruby Falls? You mean one fall.
By moon5star, 06/16/08
I traveled all the way from Northern California to see "the FALLS". The pictures and marketing hype make it seem this is one amazing majestic place to see. So much walking for nothing, so much staff, parking, facilities and you will think the main attractions is going to be amazing, but when you get to see the fall is just one humble fall ...

Its definately a cave.........
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 06/08/08
Lots of people, real quick, too commercialized - and then theres the falls. the reason they turn out the lights real quick is because people will start realizing that the falls are man-made. a perfectly circular catch basin thats made of cement, not the natural limestone. i guess i understand though, after walking through the hordes there needs ...
I love this place because it beautiful and it so breathtaking also. I just love thway that it's made by nature and the waterfall is spectacular to watch and see how marvalous it is.
It is hard to imagine the amount of time required to "build" something like this. Especially when you see an attraction almost 75 years old and the formations look basically the same as they did the first time they were seen.
When I went to this cave, we were extremely displeased with our experience. I guess I've been spoiled with all the National Parks caves I visited as a child, where they keep them pristine and as natural as possible.
This one was dirty with lots of grafitti in all parts of the tour. Yuck!!
The claim of the tour is the waterfall at the ...

Ruby Falls was breathtaking!
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/05/07
My husband and I really enjoyed the falls. There is a small wait time to get on the tour and the size of your group depends on the time of the season. We had around 30 people in our group. The tourguide was very talkative and informative but it was a relaxed atmosphere. They take their time so that you are not rushed and have time to enjoy your ...

Not Good
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/03/07
We just got back from our trip..Ruby Falls was a BIG disapointment. we felt like we were ran thru so fast, and didn't have time to see anything hardly. When we did make it to the falls, we didn't even have time to take pics. I understand they were busy, but I had rather wait in line a few minutes longer if it means that you can spend more ...

Once Was Enough.
By Nashville, TN, 07/12/07
I'm glad I toured Ruby Falls, but it's something that I'd only do once. Interesting, but not as breathtaking as the other reviewers described. If you are a naturalist, you'll love it. If you are claustrophobic, stay away. I think some of the stories told by the tour guide are for entertainment purposes only. Don't believe everything you hear. Tour takes a while so don't go in a rush.

Great day trip
By monica, 06/26/07
I took five kids ages 2-12 to Ruby Falls during Winter Break of 2007. We all had a blast! It was not crowded. The kids got a thrill out of being so far underground. They were amazed by the waterfall and the rock formations. We also went to Lookout Mountain, which was enjoyable as well. There is a lot to do in Chattanooga and since we only had ...
