Me and my husband visit this aquarium in 1993(opening wekend) and it was exciting and fun to say the least and when had our two boys they each have visit different aquariums, but I think those Little black and white guys(the Penguins) were a sure fire winner in our family.
Great for the whole family... We've been to several aquariums and this was by far the best (and least expensive!) I could not believe all the variety they had and how nice the staff were. We wish we could go back today... It's a must in Chattanooga!

This is the best designed aquarium i have seen, and the largest fresh water aquarium ever- one of two buildings, the second building is salt water. LOVE the penguins
By krystinrowe, 02/08/08
I love the new addition. It is bright and so well laid out. The butterfly room is wonderful and I LOVED the penguins. They are so personable. It is so incredibly relaxing. I would tell anyone wanting to go to the aquarium that you need to stop and sit and enjoy. Many people were rushing through and they missed a beautiful experience.

Love the penguins

We absolutely loved the penguins. They were absolutely adorable. We also liked the dive show that was put on. It's wonderful for a 2 year old, but not stroller friendly. The aquarium in Gatlinburg is much better.

Great Aquarium
By John W, 12/14/07
Most of the time I go the crowds aren't bad. It doesn't have any whales but in most other things it is equal or netter than Atlanta.

a wonderful place to visit
By jama_anderson, 10/29/07

The place is so big that you aren't pushed and shoved by others trying to get a look at the exhibits. The only snag we ran into was when buying our tickets. I was told when I was ...

I loved this place. Its hands on. I cant wait till i go back. The penguin exhibit was so good. I would have liked it more if we would have been able to play with the penguins.
