Was wonderfull to see the place I saw wrote about on barn years ago. I grow up in the 50-60 in Kansas and remember see the barn with "See Rock City" when we took our vacations every year. My husband and I celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary in Chattanooga area. I was a little concerned about the walking and stairs. But the level stone ...
We went in November and will all the leaf color changes made it more beautiful than ever. I would think that when they have it lite up at night it is something wonderful to see. There are lots of shortcuts for those who can't do the whole thing and a few snack stands on the paths as well. We didn't bring our kids this time, but I would love to bring them next time I have the chance.
I wanted to warn others who are above average in weight that the Fat Man's Squeeze was a very tight fit for me. I am 5' 8" and wear a women's size 3X. I could BARELY make it through. In fact, I was almost in tears from the experience and felt very anxious as I forced myself through that area.
we went to tenn for the hurricane evacuation it was our evacucation we went to ruby falls and rock city.At rock city they had water fountains for the dogs and in the park they would give you pans of water for the pets it was a real treat espically since i did not want to leave our dogs in the hotel and chance housekeeping letting them out Thank you rock city for making a happy place for the whole family h. panarello louisiana
The gardens were great. We really enjoyed all the differnt kinds of plants and the rock formations are breath taking. Get a package deal and save money.
The views are beathtaking but what we loved was the rock formations and the landscaping. It was so beautiful! The weather was perfect except for being a little overcast. I can only imagine how lovely it mus be in the Spring when everything is blooming.
Great fun. We started going when we were dating. After we married and had our son, we began spending every Christmas at the Enchanted Garden of Lights. Our son has always thought that that's where Santa always is. We love it!!! Do the Chattanooga Christmas Parade first and then head up to the top of the mountain. :)
I visited Rock City as a child, but only remembered bits and pieces, like the swinging bridge, because I was so young.
Coming back as an adult, allowed me to TRULY experience and appreciate the beauty of it all!! I visited Rock City on October 25, 2007--right after two or three days of steady rain...and the waterfall was soooo pretty!!
Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway are by far the BEST attractions in Tennessee!!!! These Lookout Mountain Attractions are the absolute first stops anyone should make when visiting Chattanooga!!
