  • crazy busy but beautiful
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/05/08
Such a beautiful place- a classic that everyone must visit at least once. The constant crowds are annoying but if you are lucky enough to hit it on a slow day you will be blessed with an amazing experience. The lodge is beautiful with a nice menu, the gift shop is great for schotzke's and bric a brac. Skip the espresso (just plain bad) and the snack bar (very dirty, rude innatentive employees)

I do not have a taste for elegant food, but they have state of the art sunday brunch...
A store is available for all your needs.
The hike to the top is magnificent...
Free to see falls up close, and to hike..

  • When in Oregon, you visit Multnomah
    By Robyn, 04/07/06
Of all the places I’ve visited in my lifetime, this is my favorite spot to just think and meditate. I can stand for hours on the bridge overlooking the waterfall. . . Spend a day to take it all in and hike up to the top. It's about a mile to the top of the waterfall, and several more miles to the top of the mountain. Wear really good hiking boots or sneakers!
