Wow - for the money, we had a whole day of fun and lots to look at! Even without a "membership", we took 5 children and all got in for around $40 which I thought was a bargain! It was HOT outside, but there were plenty of shady places, and buildings to explore with AC so it was very tolerable. Drinks were high from the soda machines, ...
i live in tulsa, so i go to the zoo with my kids all the time, and it just seems that they keep wanting to get bigger and better things in and not concentrate on the families that visit the zoo.....it is a good zoo, i enjoy it everytime i go.......but most of the time, you have to walk forever to buy a drink or a snake thats not out of a ...

Not the best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/07
If you have been to a bigger city's zoo like San Diego or even Pittsburgh's zoo, do not bother with the Tulsa Zoo. They did their best, but it just isn't worth the time to see their lack of animals.
Well it was a fun time! I had not been in years, until we decided to take my son! He loved all of the animals... The only grip I have is that Either they are missing some animals, or we have to know the "perfect" time to go... becuase alot of the exhibits that we wanted to see, or that we walked by were empty, some of them even seemed abandoned??? But all in all it was alot of fun...

Cheetah encounter
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/07/06
I liked the zoo overall, we were on a trip there and got to see something that you usually see only in the wild. Three ducklings made their way into the cheetah encloser, and the rest is history. As morbid as this sounds, it was great to see nature take it's course.
Good zoo but March is a little early in the year to go. The cheetahs were cool!!!! Very noah's ark 2 of each. Good price for a zoo. Open layout and adequate vendors.

America's Favorite Zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/06
The Tulsa Zoo recently was selected America's Favorite Zoo in Microsoft Game Studio's "Zoo Tycoon 2" contest. While other zoos may have more animals or exhibits, none have the attention to detail in recreating realistic habitats for their animals. The Rain Forest exhibit is a wonderful example of this, as is the artificial cave building complete with many exhibits of nocturnal creatures.

it was awesome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/05
I got the chance to go when the koala bears were there earlier this year and I was just looking to see where else I could go when I go back to Tulsa and saw that it was kind of rated low, which I'm shocked because my fiance and I were really impressed with the zoo. It was a very affordable price, clean, and the museums incorporated into the zoo ...

So where's all the animals?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/13/05
I went to the Tulsa zoo a few years ago and really liked it. We where in Tulsa so I thought it would be nice to go back, see if it would be worth the trip to take my nieces. If it was much farther away (80 miles) it would not be. (I'm not sure it is any way.) There was a LOT of empty cages and most animal where out of either food or water. ...
