I loved chimney rock when I went. It is fun to look at the entire mountain when approaching it from Lake Lure. If you just plan to go on the rock, it is not worth the money. it was an okay kind of experience.there's nothing gr8 abt it.lot of steps to climb up and down.i think its meant only for hikers.but one can easily spend 1 full day there,as there is no other worthy attraction near by.he! he! he!

I took my two year old here we did the woodland trail I think that is the name it is the trail especially for kids. It was perfect for him. It is a clean and beautiful park.
the trails are great. Kind of bummed that was all we got to do b/c there is a lot more but time did not allow for us to do more this time but I would go back.

Chimney Rock is one of my all time favorites. It's little quaint shops in Chimney Rock village have something for everyone. The mountain it's self is breath taking and it is a wonderful hiking spot. It is a wonderful family place to spend the a day or the weekend.

Beautiful view! My husband and I went to Chimney Rock as part of our honeymoon, and it was so much fun! We went at the beginning of November, so the colors were beautiful. We'll definitely be going back again! If you like hiking, you'll love this place!

The gate admission is $14. Inside you can stand on Chimney Rock and see most of North and South Carolina. You can also take a few hikes and see a huge beautiful waterfall.
