  • Not a big fan of modern art
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/05/08
HOWEVER, the Albright does have a very good collection (not all modern) and the building presents it so well. Very nice gift shop and superb location on the edge of beautiful Delaware Park and Hoyt Lake makes it a near perfect place for a date.

  • Free Friday Night is Great!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/07
We liked that there is a free night on Fridays where they offer family activities. They have things to do and usually a band will be playing music at the same time. We got to stroll through the exhibits without worrying about the amount of time the kids would want to stay there. Free makes it definitely worth exposing it to your kids once in a ...

  • The best in Upstate NY
    By Priscilla, 10/27/05
I grew up in the Falls and went to UB and then worked in Buffalo and the Albright was my favorite place to go for just relaxation. Now, even while living in Rochester, my best friend and I aften venture back to Buffalo just to go to the Albright...its exhibits are simply awesome!!!

  • I love it here
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/05
Considered by some to be the best in the world when it comes to modern and contemporary 20th century art, this gallery has a rich selection of works by artists like Picasso, van Gogh, and Jackson Pollock. For those who aren't interested in art there is a technology room. To get the best out of the muesem I reccomend the headphones, available at the front counter.

  • um, good but
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
one of the best small galleries that i have ever visited, for its size its collection is comaparable to much larger galleries in the area, such as the AGO in toronto, and the carnegie pittsburg, which are much, much larger, and the changing exhibits always have fresh, smart content. the building is also a attraction, with a interesting contrast ...

  • We loved it!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/05
I thought the overall feel of the museum was dedicated to enabling the visitor to see each painting clearly. Sometimes museums squeeze in larger paintings and it makes it tough for the observer to see the painting in perspective.

One of the things my kids particularly enjoyed was the room with the orange ladders. My children are ages 6 to 10 ...
