When you're around this local, try to purchase the Bak Kwa or Singaporean BBQ/Jerky. It may be pricey as it is sold by the kilo, but worth the taste. I tried taking some home but was confiscated at the US Customs. So eat as much as you can before you head back home. I recommend to buy some at the Bee Ching Hiang shop. You won't be ...
Explore Singapore's vibrant Chinatown on a balmy evening tour that's filled with activities. After exploring Singapore's Chinatown and enjoying a Chinese dinner at a Chinatown restaurant, you'll take a tour with a difference by trishaw through Singapore's exciting Night Market then cruise along the Singapore River by traditional ...
I love how everything is cheap... Buy souvenirs here coz here is where the cheapest souvenirs are...
Went here twice... Go more than once.. 1st time should be in the morning where all the shops are open then 2nd time in the evening where the food and night market is open...
But Night Market is active in 7pm.. go there at that time.. by 9pm some shops are already closed..
Actually I enjoyed my experience here in Chinatown. I lived in Singapore for almost 2 months. I would say that there are places more to see beyond Pagoda St.You can do food tripping at the hawker food market near Amoy St. I enjoyed my day at The Madjestic, this is where i buy some of my food ingredients.:)
I like this place because many shops sell the chinese things, the people is so nice, the building is so beautiful. In one day I will go there again.I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like shopping here most. It's modern and clean. I like Chinese foods also. The people here is so nice, similar to Vietnamese. I smoke but the cigarettes are terribly expensive.

I always stop in a little hotel on Mosque street rather than the modern monstrosities. Breakfast in the cafe opposite and at night go to one of the 2 hawker centres nearbye to eat.
Loved the street performances in Mid Autumn festival
