Best place to go on a stroll with a date, husband or a friend. It's a place where you can think clearly even if you haven't left the city. You can people watch , or ignore people by reading a book on a bench by the water, all the while surrounded by cute shops to visit, tasteful dinnning and friendly cafes. What more could you want ? I never get tired of it...
I enjoyed the opennes and friendlyness a sights your able to do and see. I love the water fountian at the beging that the kids played in on the hot summer days.
I love waterfront park, cause it is a great place to meet people and there is always something going on. Great food.......great fun.....great people. When we go down there it is usually at night we watch the ships ( dinner ships) and we walk up and down and listen to the music and if there is a Jazz fest it is held right there......Its great.

location by the river--fantastic & beautiful! Very relaxing.
I've been to Portland many times over the years, but have never drove the full length of the park. I wish I had before so that I would have known that there is more to the waterfront than just what is located on the south end. My goof! I will definitely spend more time there on my the next trip.
