While visiting Portland went down to Waterfront Park..great place for a stroll with friends. I love Portland. I was born and raised in Philadelphia PA, lived for a time in Toronto Canada, Cleveland OH, and currently reside in St. Petersburg FL but my next move is to Portland.
I fell in love with this unique city back in the summer of 2006, was so impressed by all that it has to offer.

MOST MAGNIFICENT CITY IN NORTH AMERICA
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/07
IT IS A MAGNIFICENT TOWN TO VISIT. FAR MORE ENJOYABLE THAN THE BETTER KNOWN WEST COAST CITIES OF SEATTLE, SAN FRANCISCO, LA, SAN DIEGO. LOVELY ATMOSPHERE WITH GARDENS, UNFORGETTABLE VIEWS OF MT. HOOD. MOST IMPORTANT, PEACE AND TRANQUILITY, BUT PLENTY OF ENTERTAINMENT AND EXCITEMENT SHOULD ONE BE SEEKING THOSE DIVERSIONS. WE ARE FROM MEXICO, AND ...

I may not have been there before but from all the reviews I've heard it sounds wonderful!!!PLus I heard that there is a river down there and you can go biking, jogging,or just a little picnic with your family! From what I heard...It's a great place for family bonding!!!
Waterfront Park is truely the heart of Portland. From the Rose Festiaval to the Beer Fest it happens here. It also has a great views of the river and the tall buildings. At the same time you can relax and walk for miles safely.
It's a wonderful place to walk, ride a bike, run... The river view it's amazing and the whole environment just great. Plus it's free and open 24 hours 7 days a week...
Enjoyed activities such as music performances by water in the spring. I was able to chat with family while enjoying the mild weather and variety of performances.
The Waterfront is a great place to park, and just take a walk! There are several small eating places for great ice cream or other small eats. There is a parking garage at the Marina on the South end of the Park, and there are also metered spots. The Waterfront stretches for several miles, and walking it at night is safe and 'romantic,' ...
Waterfront park gives Portland a beautiful and functionary centralized attraction. The park hosts many of the Rose Cities renowned events such as the Rose Festival, the Blues festival and the Bite. It also has great restaurants, access to downtown areas such as Saturday Market and Yamhill Market place, and provides wonderful meandering walkways along the Willamette river. A++ rating.
