I lived in Jamaica for a while and while Somerset falls is a decent place, there are better ones on the island. Reach falls at the end of the island is very secluded and unused. You just have to ask around to get there. It is not an overly tourist area like Somerset.
That experience was pretty great. The landscape was expetionnal and the fee not really expensive. It's really something to do if you're visiting jamaica and especially the north-east side of the island.
Off the beaten track, so takes a little adventurous spirit to find this peaceful retreat.
For the very limited entrance fee, you get a short stroll through the wooded surrounds of the Falls, taking in some of the local wildlife (including two Giant Turtles!), before a canoe ride down to the falls. Once at the falls you can swim in the crystal ...
