I Visited Three Times
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/08
I was recently in Delray Beach visiting my mother and was delighted to discover this place. I enjoyed it so much that I went three times in four days. On each visit I discovered something new: turtles, alligators (including on one visit a baby), an iguana, watersnakes, and more birds than I could count. If I lived in the area I would probably visit every day.

A living museum that's a real treasure!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/25/07

most of the snowbirders..they are oblivious to the surroundungs and lack respect. The speed walkers make a loud thumping while walking and talk between themselves loudly.

It is so peaceful and relaxing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/07
I would recommend it to anyone that would like to take a stroll in the early morning or evening. The birds are beautiful and it is a very walkable boardwalk. They have done a fantastic job with this area. Make sure to take your camera.

Excellent short trip - wetlands
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/07
Excellent short trip. The wetlands is a part of a Project with Palm Beach Water District. There is a board walk to view the wetlands, flora, and fauna. There are several birds and lot's of bullrush on the water.
There is no fee. There are many people taking pictures. It's definitely a serene place in the middle of the busy ...

Wetlands were a welcome break in commercial Florida
A lovely place to walk, view nature, and even see crocodiles. Away from the hustle and bustle of busy south Florida. Boardwalks take you along a path which has plenty of places to sit down in the shade along the way, so it is easy to take an elderly relative if he or she can walk 100 yards or so. We left my mother in law in the first covered ...
