Definitely go as early as you can (they open at 10) because parking becomes a challenge as the day goes on. The guide book stated this was a must see and how disappointing when we drove there, hiked down to the lake and viewed the house. Obviously built by a hermit with too much money. The view of the bay, though, was beautiful. The house is a definite miss.
