Excellent Family TripI take my family here when they are in town, including their young children. It's an absolute blast for all involved. There are numerous restaurants for any taste, the shops are amazing and kid-friendly. The kid favorite has to be the Salt Water Taffy shop where you can sample any candy you want and you buy it by the pound. I've introduced ...6 of 7 Yahoo! The Best PlaceOld Sac is one of the best places to take out of town guest. The have everything you can thing of. From carriage rides to the finest restaurants and the view is awesome. Many places to shop for souvieners especially Evangline's(the best shops). Then just a stroll below the highway connects the Downtown Plaza which is an outside mall. It's GREAT! Could be a ton betterThis place has so much fun potential that isn't being taken advantage of. I really enjoy the old west feel, but there are so few activities involving this theme. WOW! That was loads of fun.....I took my family (children 1,2,13) we loved it. There is so much to look at, so much to enjoy there. The shops and the restaurants are great! You have so many places to chose from. Its wonderful to be able to go back in time, and ride a horse and buggy ride for anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minute rides. I love Old Sac...go every chance I get!I love it during the Christmas Holidays...it's all so festive, and great gifts to give! The many restaraunts are great (the hardest part is choosing wbere to have dinner...so many types of restraunts with great food...you just need to do your homework online, or just take a walk and stop where you feel like checking out something new! Any place you pick will be sure to please you!
