Moved to Davis two years ago, kept saying was going to go and try - didn't until last weekend, excellent!

Redrum has a good variety of food, and it's all tasty (love the shakes, in many varieties), but the service is often so lackadaisical even when the place isn't busy that it can sometimes be a drag to go there and the greasy ambience may be off-putting to some. Go if you like greasy-spoon type burger joints. Don't go if you have to be someplace else in a hurry.

Really great burgers with a large selection and big menu. They have turkey burgers, ham burgers (yes with pork), ostrich burgers, chicken burgers, and veggie burgers. Awesome fries too, anyone in Davis should try it out.

I've seen three owners come and go from this burger joint, worked there myself for a few years as a kid, and it is STILL the MOST fabulous burger place around!

Chili cheese fries and BBQ fries ROCK, and they are HUGE portions - well worth trying out!

Teryaki burgers and sandwiches RULE - and OMG the espresso and fresh fruit shakes ...

If I had a car I would drive a few times a week from San Francisco for one of their Ostrich burgers. As it stands though I've converted all my friends into making it the place to stop on the way to and from Tahoe in the snow season.
