it is so nice and cool in summer. you can feel the earths natural airconditioning. but in winteer the snow is also an attraction. i have an all year pass, and it is value for money.
Unfortunately we had no other time to visit Russell Falls and so we went in the rain. It was very wet and very cold. But it was an experience anyway. The falls were magnificent. There is a range of walks from simply going to the bottom of the falls, to climbing to the top of the falls. Plastic raincoats could be bought at the shop and we all managed to keep relatively dry with them. I recommend visiting on a fine day.
The short walk from the Visitor Centre to the Falls is a must. We saw wallabies with baby Joeys in their pouches as it was just after the mating season. The falls are spectacular. Don't miss out on the walk to the top of the falls. the view of the falls from the top across the valley is worth the uphill hike.
