Our first trip to Hobart prompted a search on restaurants in the area and the Ball and Chain appeared. We both enjoy steaks, but have experienced none better than at this restaurant. The service was exceptional, as was the salad bar and ambience. So impressed we went back again before heading back to Victoria. It would be sensational if this restaurant branched into Victoria. Don't miss this if you are travelling to Hobart.

Excellent oysters (the best I ever had), steak (perfect) and salad bar (diverse and fresh). Very friendly service. Only two negatives - cold potatoes and a little noisy.
