First impression, Gran's house! Smelled musty and the table's had cork table mats!
We arrive 15 mins before table booked and we're asked to come back as table not ready! Not take a seat, can we get you a drink?

Main Course - ordered Ribeye steak, too tough to eat. Another member of party ordered fillet - no flavour. ...

    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/06/07
As a Coeliac, I get rather bored of eating steak whenever I go out and usually being unable to have a starter and dessert. The Go Down restaurant was brilliant! My alternative options were explained to me as soon as I got there, I was given a gluten free bread roll, which tasted incredible, and I was able to eat a meal consisting of chicken, as ...

  • Excellent restaurant
    By det, 02/26/07
Due to work commitments we decided to book this year valentines for the weekend, and chose the go-down because of a friends recommendation. We booked into the early bird menu which on a weekend is 5.30pm - 6pm, weekdays is 5.30 to 7pm. We opted for the 3 courses for £15, although there is a choice of 2 courses for £13. The menu is a selection of ...

The food is beautiful in this exquisite sunken restaurant, the service was with a smile, and we literally cannot wait to go back!

When booking our table I mentioned that I was a coeliac - upon arrival there is a freshly baked loaf of bread placed upon the table with a selection of butter and garlic butter - for me there were two gluten free ...
